Director International Federations - Greg Larocque is a Canadian living in British Columbia ’s Upper Fraser Valley just outside Vancouver . At present he serves as GLISA’s Treasurer and one of two representatives from the International FrontRunners organization. He is also one of the Founding Directors of the North American Gay and Lesbian Sport Federation (NAGLSF/ GLISA North America). Greg has been an active runner for most of his adulthood; now at the Master’s runner age, he still finds time to do two to four runs per week. Though never of record-setting competition caliber, he has participated in such runs as the Vancouver Sun Run, the Scotiabank Half-Marathon, the Edge-to-Edge Marathon Relay, and My First Triathlon where he came in first in his age group. He is a member of both the Vancouver FrontRunners and the Running Moose Squad, both IFR member clubs. He readily acknowledges that his running form “ ain’t pretty, but it gets me to the finish line ”. He continues to run and be involved in LGBT sports activities not just for his own health, but also to create opportunities for younger runners to make healthy choices within their LGBT lifestyles. |
