Teacher of Physical Education with Post Degree – Specialization in Physical Education to Early Children at the Federal University of Santa Catarina State in 1987 and a Black Belt 4th degree in Judo. Born May 30 1965.

He works in social inclusion trough sports to poor and discriminate people.
Grando worked in Lowell – Massachussets – USA with the World Champion in Judo Jimmy Pedro (-73kg in 1999 till 2002) and went back to Brazil to work in LGBT Sports.

Grando has visited several countries for Judo: Kobe-Japan (Universíade 1985), Colorado-USA (US Open Judo), Lima-Peru (Tournament South American 1989), Montreal-Canada (Outgames 2006) and the Olympic Games in 1988 and 1992.

In 2005, Grando was the starting point of the first LGBT Games in Brazil. In July 2006 the very successful Games were held. (Floripa Diversity Games) The fee was a donation of non perishable food. The Games attracted almost 200 participators in 6 different sports (soccer (7 teams), volleyball, futsal, swimming, table tennis and track & field). He broke the barriers of discrimination and also started the first Pride Parade in his state.

Grando gained the full bursary trough the Outgames Outreach program Montreal in 2006 and was able to share his background in LGBT sports. He participated in the Human Rights Conference and also worked as a Volunteer at the Montreal Outgames and made a lot of friends around the world.

Grando is currently involved in projects to nationally spread the LGBT Games. So far 3 States in the south of Brazil started LGBT Games; ´cause the work is hard and he thinks it is the best factor of social inclusion trough sports. Those Games will involve more than 500 people!

Dulcimar Antônio Grando is very proud to be a Boardmember of GLISA and hopes to share his background in sports and make a difference in the world regarding LGBT Sports and Human Rights

Grando lives in Brazil and he is married to Denise, who is also a teacher. They have two kids, Taiana 21 years old and Enzo, 5 years old.
