Anton Valev is a native Bulgarian, a Master of Pharmacy at the Medical University of Sofia. He had worked as a Pharmacy Manager, a Regional Manager in a pharmaceutical distribution company, a Deputy Executive Manager in a pharmaceutical producer company. Now he works as Pharmacy Manager and a free-lancer in Pharmaceutical Care and Customers Relief consultancy business as well as Organizational Development consultant for the Utilities Sector. He speaks English, German and Russian, and communicates in Serbian and Macedonian.

Anton has a huge experience at the NGO sector in Bulgaria and on international level for more than 15 years. He had been working for the Bulgarian Red Cross (BRC), where he had reached the top position of National Youth Director in the National Committee of the BRC, after many years of regional and national level positions, including Editor-in-Chief of the National Bulletin and National Trainer in Organizational Development. He had worked for missions of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies in Macedonia, Serbia, Romania, Hungary, Germany, Switzerland and Sweden (Europe) and Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan (Central Asia) mainly as an International Trainer of Group Management and Organizational Development. Anton has acted as a member of the Promotion and Support Committee of the European Pharmaceutical Students Association, which had the task to involve new member-organizations from the Eastern European and the Ex-Soviet Union countries.

In Bulgaria Anton has leaved his mark in the establishment of the Students’ Councils in the Bulgarian universities, the National Students’ Pharmaceutical Association (BSPSS), the National Youth Foundation of Bulgaria (Exec Director), the National Youth Council of Bulgaria (Chairman of the Healthcare Commission), the Qualification Fund Association (Chairman). He is a co-founder and a proud member of the Executive Board of the Fat Cats Sports Club in Sofia, responsible for all the communication process of the club.

Anton plays volleyball and likes tourism. He has participated in the EuroGames 2005 in Munich, 2006 in Utrecht and the 1st OutGames in Montreal 2006, where he won a golden medal in volleyball with the team of Tangra-Bulgaria.
