CAAWS Homophobia Discussion Paper
This position paper on homophobia in sport was authored by Rachel Corbett, for the Canadian Association for the Advancement of Women in Sport and Physical Activity (CAAWS). Part of CAAWS mandate is to promote female participation in sport. Homophobia in sport creates a barrier to that participation. The purpose of the paper is to initiate discussion about homophobia in sport with an eye to longer term strategies to make sport a safe and inclusive place for all participants.
