Darwin has been selected as the city to host the 3rd Asia Pacific Outgames in May 2014. The decision was made tonight at the GLISA-AP Board Meeting.
A delegation from GLISA-APvisited Darwin in April to view sporting and conference facilities and met with politicians, government officials, tourist operators and members of the local GLBT community. The group were impressed with the range of first-class facilities on offer in Darwin and the enthusiastic support from across the Darwin community for the hosting of the Games in Darwin and are confident that Darwin will produce a successful Outgames and warmly welcome LGBT people to their city.
The dates for the week long event are from Saturday, 10 May to Friday, 16 May 2014.
